Worship is God’s gift to us: a time and a way of being that help us encounter the deep truths of our lives in the light of God’s love.
Each week we gather together to pray and sing; to hear and and tell God’s story; to share in communion; and to renew our commitment to embody God’s love in the world.
Our worship is shaped by the traditional patterns of the liturgy of the Scottish Episcopal Church and the reality of our lives today.
We take the voices of all God’s children seriously, and encourage even God’s grown-up friends to laugh and to play.

Music
St Mary’s has a varied tradition of music which includes traditional and modern hymns, worship songs, and liturgical music.
Right now, our choir is taking a break for a few months, in the wake of our choir director leaving. We are using this time to experiment with new ways of enabling music through informal Music Nights at the rectory. These evenings give us a chance to try new things, relax into making music together, and develop our confidence and skills. Most of us are beginners, and we are all learning together.
On Sundays, our music is led by our organist, members of the music group, and cantors.
If you would like to get involved in the church’s music, please come along to a Music Night (dates listed in News) or contact the rector.
