St Mary’s has a thriving Young Church.
Young Church meets to worship every Sunday throughout the school year. It begins in the church hall at 10.30 am, then joins the rest of the congregation in church in time for communion.
Young Church is led by Nerys Brown, who is a Lay Reader in the Church. Nerys leads a team of volunteers who support children and young people in worship, learning and growth.
There is a strong commitment to ecumenical youth work in Dunblane. In the summer, children in primary school are involved in the local summer club, Radio Rainbow. Many of our teenagers become young leaders in Radio Rainbow and are trained for leadership in the wider church.
At St Mary’s we see children and young people as full members of the church — valued and welcome in all parts of the church’s life.
Communion is open to people of all ages, and there is ongoing teaching and nurture to help us engage more deeply with the sacramental life of the church.
Young Church is always open to new members. Parents are welcome to stay in Young Church with their children if this seems right for the family. Children are also welcome in church at any time.
